Book Review: At Risk by Patricia Cornwell

Nannah talks about a murder mystery (At Risk” by Patricia Cornwell) that she is reading, while waiting for her granddaughter’s Christmas performance to begin on December 5, 2010. There’s a lot of background conversation, but this is a real-time review!

“I just finished reading a murder mystery called “At Risk” by Patricia Cornwell. It’s not the usual forensics. It’s a faster read than I enjoy; a real modern clip. The male detective dresses very “downtown” … Armani … whatever name you can come up with for special duds. But he gets them all at second-hand clothing shops. His car is a used car. Whatever he has he buys second-hand. And this keeps the thread all the way through, that this guy is appearing in his la-dee-da’s which he got at the Thrift Store. It runs in the family! … I’d say it’s a high-brow detective-style story because she’s a very smart lady.”
